Hymns at Home was created to share and preserve some of our favorite hymns for our children and others. Alongside well-known songs like “The Love of God,” we recorded hidden gems such as “God Moves in a Mysterious Way” and “It Is Finished”. These simple, heartfelt tracks capture a moment we hope inspires families and churches to keep singing these timeless hymns.

The Story Behind Hymns at Home

Hymns at Home was born from our desire to pass down some of our favorite hymns to our children and others. While well-loved songs like “The Love of God” and “Fairest Lord Jesus” appear, we were especially drawn to lesser-known treasures like “God Moves in a Mysterious Way” and “It Is Finished,” with their rich lyrics and theology. Patrick created unique guitar settings he affectionately calls “Molly tuning,” and before moving from Nashville to Florida, we gathered friends in our playroom for a simple live recording. With pizza boxes still on the counter and moving boxes packed, these low-budget but heartfelt songs became a keepsake. Our hope is that they encourage families and churches to learn, teach, and sing these hymns together.
